Eric & Jessica

Becoming parents has always been our biggest dream. We were fortunate to grow up with incredible childhoods full of fun, love, and unforgettable memories that shaped us into who we are today. Our greatest wish is to create that same kind of magical upbringing for our own child. Adoption gives us the chance to make this dream come true, and we are endlessly grateful for the opportunity. Thank you so much for considering us!

Our Professional Lives

Happy Together

When we tell people we're professional bloggers, they're often unsure what that actually means. A lot of people assume we're influencers on social media—and while there's nothing wrong with that, our work is a bit different! We own and run four websites that create articles and content similar to what you'd find in a magazine. We cover everything from organizing and decluttering to party planning, wedding planning, and home decorating.

Over the years, our little blogging empire has grown so much that we now work with the largest ad company in the world! We've created free printables, planners, and Jessica has even published a book through our websites.

Because of this, we've been able to work full-time for ourselves, creating the dream schedules and lives we always wanted. The opportunities our websites have created for us are something we cherish every day—especially the chance to be home with our future kids.

Our family also runs a homemade jam business. We sell our delicious jams both online and at our local farmer's markets. What makes our business so unique and heartwarming is that it's just super relaxed—we do it for fun and as an opportunity to spend quality time together.

Qualities We Admire in Each Other

Eric + Jess

Jessica About Eric: What I love most about my husband Eric is how much fun he brings to every moment. He's the ultimate "fun uncle," always the life of the party with our nieces and nephews—whether it's playing games, cracking jokes, or leading an impromptu dance-off. But what's really special is how he balances all that fun with being an incredible role model. He sets boundaries with kindness and knows exactly how to approach discipline with love and care, which is why I've always known he would be an exceptional father.

Eric About Jessica: Jessica is the kind of person who lights up every room she walks into—kind, patient, funny, and so incredibly smart. She has this amazing ability to make everyone feel comfortable and valued, no matter the situation. Her sense of humor is infectious, and her intelligence shines through in everything she does. She's the definition of genuine, and everyone adores her from the moment they meet her. Whether it's offering a listening ear, solving a problem, or just making you laugh until your stomach hurts, she's always there for the people around her. She's already got the superstar mom skills, effortlessly balancing warmth and wisdom, and I truly feel so lucky to have someone like her in my life. She's one of those rare people who makes the world better just by being in it.

Cultural Diversity

We know that raising a child from a different race and/or culture will come with challenges, but our commitment is to create a home filled with love, pride, and unwavering support. Our child will be prepared to face tough questions and discrimination with strength and confidence, but more importantly, they'll know how to celebrate and cherish every part of their heritage without fear.

We want them to grow up proud, connected, and also to know it's OK to explore all positive & negative feelings that being a transracial adoptee might present. To support our child, we want to expose them to culturally diverse communities like our local farmer's markets, explore pride events as a family to celebrate and show our love, and take time to learn about the history of their culture in fun, meaningful ways. And if they ever needed support beyond what we could offer, we'd find it for them in a heartbeat—because that's what family is all about!

The idea is to interweave not just their race and/or culture into our home, but bring in all races and cultures. We hope to build the same type of tolerance, love and appreciation for cultural diversity in them that we've instilled in ourselves. We will have been given an important role, and we will take it to heart with so much love and care.

Our House and Neighborhood

Our Home

Living in Arizona, feels like being part of something truly special. Where we live is a super safe and beautiful master-planned suburban community with new homes, schools, shopping, and parks. Plus this location is unreal, we are 25 minutes from an amazing lake, under 2 hours away from thick pine forests & snow in Prescott & Flagstaff, and 5.5 hours from the California coast!

We have access to A+ rated schools, along with nearby charter and private options, making it a great place to raise kids. Our neighborhood has a welcoming community vibe. Residents come together for Halloween and Christmas festivals, holiday light competitions, and fun family events. The neighborhood amenities include a baseball field, soccer field, basketball and volleyball courts, disc golf, an upgraded playground, and an outdoor grilling area. Kids love it here, always riding bikes, playing on the greenbelts, and enjoying a safe, family-friendly environment.

Our home is our favorite—we have a single-story with 3 bedrooms, 3 full baths, and a den. The backyard is our tropical oasis, with a pool, Baja ledge, and a waterfall that you can hear throughout the entire house. On the side yard, we've created a beautiful garden with three large, hand-painted murals, making it our favorite spot. We're also working on creating a dog run on the other side of the house and plan to adding a puppy to our family in the future too!

Our Extended Families

Jessica & Her Mom

Family is everything, and having ours so close by is such a gift! We're incredibly lucky to have the world's best grandparents just 10 minutes down the road, living in the most amazing community. It's like a mini paradise with sparkling lakes for walking and fishing, free mini golf, tennis, pickleball, ping-pong, outdoor firepits, a giant heated pool and spa, cabanas, a state-of-the-art gym, and gorgeous green spaces perfect for family walks.

Christmas 2024

Jessica's brother and sister-in-law are expecting their first baby this April, and we're counting down the days. Our future little one will grow up with a cousin their age nearby – we're all so excited! Jessica's sister, her husband, and their three kids are also close, so every holiday, birthday, and get-together is a full-on celebration.

Christmas is always the biggest event of the year for us. We go all out with endless gifts, themed dinners (last year was The Grinch – a total hit!), and the kind of loud, laugh-until-you-cry games that leave our hearts full and our cheeks sore from smiling.

Our family is truly something special – fun, supportive, and filled with so much love and wholesomeness. Our family is so supportive of our decision to adopt and can't wait to be a part of this journey with us.

From Us to You

We can't begin to imagine exactly how you're feeling right now, and we know this decision is likely one of the biggest you'll face in your life. If we were in your shoes, we'd want some real assurances in a world that can often feel filled with empty promises.

Here's what we want you to know and what we can absolutely promise:

Your child will always know their adoption story. They'll know how special that story is, and they'll grow to be proud of it. We'll help them understand all the "whys" so they never feel resentment or confusion. They'll know that their birth mother is the hero of their story someone who gave them the gift of life and opened the door to opportunities they may not have otherwise had. That person will always be celebrated, respected, and deeply loved in our home with a place in it.

We welcome open communication, whether that means sharing photos and stories, arranging visits, or anything else we agree on that you're comfortable with. We believe in keeping this important door open not just for our child, but for you and for us as well. Also know that if you need this closed we understand that too, but we'll keep ours open.

If our child is of a different race or culture than us, we promise they'll have a safe, supportive space to ask questions, express feelings openly, and grow without fear. We'll ensure they feel seen, heard, and valued at all times, both within our home and in our extended family's homes. We will make sure they feel that their race and/culture is not just celebrated once in a while, but it would be woven into our lives as seamlessly as our own race and culture is.

We proudly own and operate a family business making homemade jams. Our work allows us to set up booths at local farmers' markets each week, and one of the most wonderful aspects of this experience is the incredible cultural diversity we encounter. From our fellow vendors to the customers, we interact with hundreds of people from different races and cultures every week, all coming together in a safe, welcoming, and positive environment. For a future transracial child, this vibrant, inclusive community would provide a beautiful opportunity to connect with and appreciate a wide range of cultures.

Beyond that, we can guarantee a childhood filled with joy, love, and magical moments. Laughter, family traditions, vacations, sports, art, music, and education will all be part of their everyday life. Creating beautiful memories and giving them every opportunity to thrive will be our top priorities.

We've worked hard to build a life where we can work for ourselves, and today we're proud to own and manage four successful websites. Thanks to these websites, we were able to leave our mundane 9-5 day jobs and pursue our dream of entrepreneurship!

We set our own schedules and work together from our home office, a goal we've always envisioned. Our business not only allows us to be present as parents but also gives us the opportunity to create something meaningful that we could one day pass down if our children are interested.

We are an amazing team and although we've been married for 6 years we've been together for 16! We've worked tirelessly for everything we have we've never received a single handout, and every step of our journey has been built on hard work and love. Becoming parents is the one missing puzzle piece in our story, and without incredible, selfless people like you considering adoption, we'd never have the chance to fill that gap in our hearts.

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts,

Eric & Jessica
