Dan & Jorge
It is nice to meet you! We are so excited for this opportunity. Allowing us to get to know you and your child is something that we will be forever grateful for. We want you to know we will always surround your child with unconditional love, and support while providing mindful guidance for the future. We will shape and mold your child with Christian values while learning family traditions and cultures from our American/Latin background.
Cultural Diversity

We understand that choosing an adoptive family is one of the most personal and emotional decisions a birth mother can make. We want you to know that honoring a child’s identity, background, and sense of belonging is something we take very seriously and with a lot of heart. Our family already reflects a blend of cultures and experiences. Jorge is originally from Mexico, and Dan was born and raised in the United States, and our son Matteo was born in the U.S. and is multiracial. Because of this, cultural diversity is not something abstract to us—it is part of our everyday life, our conversations, and how we parent. In our home, we believe that a child should grow up feeling proud of every part of who they are. We actively teach Matteo Spanish so he can connect with my heritage and our extended family, and we incorporate traditions from both Mexico and the United States into our daily lives. We cook foods from different cultures, celebrate meaningful holidays like Día de los Muertos and Mexican Independence Day, and talk openly about why these traditions matter. For us, culture is not something we visit occasionally—it is something we live and share together.
We are also very intentional about learning and teaching about Black history and culture. We know how important it is for a child to see themselves reflected in the world around them and to understand their history in a positive, empowering way. We seek out books, resources, and experiences that help our son feel connected and supported, and we are committed to continuing that education for ourselves as parents. If we are chosen to parent a child of a different race or cultural background, we promise to approach that responsibility with humility and openness. We are committed to learning, listening, and surrounding our child with diverse communities and role models who reflect their identity. Most importantly, we want our child to always know that their story matters, that their background is honored, and that they never have to hide or minimize any part of who they are. Above all, our goal is to provide a home filled with love, safety, and respect—a place where a child feels deeply wanted, celebrated, and supported as they grow into themselves. We hope that, if you choose us, you feel comforted knowing your child will grow up in a family that values their roots as much as their future.
Our Son
We have one child. His name is Matteo, and he truly is the center of our world. He brings so much joy, kindness, and warmth into our home, and being his parents has been one of the greatest blessings of our lives. Matteo is a gentle and loving soul who deeply desires to have a brother or sister. It is something that lives close to his heart – he prays for a sibling every night during his bedtime prayers, and we pray alongside him. Our hope is for him to grow up with a sibling who will become a lifelong companion, someone he can laugh with, learn alongside, and build a lasting bond with.
He will be turning five years old this year, and at this stage in his life, we already see how nurturing and caring he is. When Matteo is around younger or smaller children, he naturally shows patience, kindness, and protectiveness. Watching him interact with other children has only strengthened our desire to grow our family. We hope to welcome another child into our home not only to expand our family, but to give both children the gift of growing up together. Our hearts and home are ready to provide love, support, and a strong sibling relationship, and we are excited about the possibility of building that future together.
Education We will Provide
Education is something we value deeply, and we see it as one of the greatest gifts we can give a child. We are committed to providing a strong, well-rounded educational experience that supports not only academic growth, but also curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning. We are fortunate to live in one of the top school districts in Tennessee, and we fully intend to take advantage of the high-quality educational opportunities available in our community. We believe access to excellent schools, supportive teachers, and enriching programs creates a strong foundation for a child’s future. At the same time, we understand that every child learns differently, and we are committed to meeting our child where they are and supporting their individual learning style. Our goal is not simply to raise the “smartest” child, but to provide the best learning experience possible – one that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and resilience. We want our children to feel supported as they explore their interests, discover their strengths, and develop confidence in their abilities. Education, to us, extends far beyond the classroom and includes real-world experiences, meaningful conversations, and encouragement at home. Above all, we want to give our child the best possible chance for success in the future. We believe that with support, encouragement, and opportunity, there is very little a child cannot achieve. We are committed to being actively involved in our child’s education every step of the way – advocating for them, celebrating their progress, and reminding them that they are capable of accomplishing great things.

Our Extended Families

We recently moved into a house a little bit more on the country side of Tennessee, but still very close by city amenities.

Our house is a traditional-style single family home built in 1996, with plenty of room for kids and guests, on a large plot land to explore. The main house has 4 bedrooms and 4 full baths. There is an additional detached guest house that has 1 bedroom and 1.5 bathrooms. The room where we usually spend the most time is the hearth room, which is where we usually have our family movie nights. You can also find us in the TV room, which can get a little messy since that is where we all lie on the couch and oversized bean bag, and cover ourselves with blankets while we eat popcorn.
We also have a private pool and garden, as well as a swingset where Matteo likes to play. This is where we also like to play catch, soccer or frisbee. There is also a fire pit in the front of the house, where we will sometimes make smores and listen to music while stargazing.
The community is a close one, since there are not that many houses in this subdivision. The subdivision consists of 25 houses, each with similarly large lots. The neighbors will sometimes gather together for a BBQ night, or just to discuss important matters. They have been very welcoming and very supportive.
Our House and Neighborhood

Jorge's parents and siblings live in Mexico. His brother and sister both have one kid each, and they visit whenever they are able to. We usually plan to see them at least once or twice a year. His mom and dad are always excited to see us and spend time with us, and they try to teach Matteo Spanish.
Joseph Daniel's mom and dad both live close by, about an hour and a half away, and they are always available to help whenever needed, or just for us to visit and spend some time with them. Joseph Daniel's brother and sister also live close by, and Matteo has a great relationship with them, and with his cousin as well. They are very close and love to play together, even with the age gap between them.
Our families met for the very first time during our wedding dinner celebration, and they were very happy for the family we've formed and very supportive of expanding our family. They know Matteo will be a great brother! He is very protective of smaller children and babies, so he already displays that brotherly instinct.
From Us to You

Dear Birth Mother,
Before anything else, we want to thank you for taking the time to read our letter. We can only imagine how many thoughts and emotions may be on your heart as you consider an adoption plan for your child. While we cannot fully understand everything you may be feeling, we deeply respect the strength, courage, and love that it takes to make this decision. The love behind your choice is something we will never take lightly. We have been together for three years and married for two. Our relationship is built on love, trust, laughter, and a shared commitment to building a meaningful life and family together. From early in our relationship, we often found ourselves talking about the future and the family we hoped to grow. Those conversations naturally led us to adoption, which felt like a beautiful and intentional way for us to welcome another child into our lives. We are already parents to our son Matteo, who will be turning five this year. Matteo joined our family through adoption, and it has been one of the most meaningful and joyful experiences of our lives. Adoption is something we honor deeply in our home, and Matteo knows his story is one built on love, openness, and honesty. We believe every child deserves to know and be proud of their story, and we would raise your child with that same respect for where they come from and the love that brought them into the world. Matteo is truly the heart of our home. He is a gentle, affectionate, and joyful child with a naturally caring spirit. When he is around younger children, he instinctively wants to help and comfort them. One of the sweetest things about him is that he prays every night for a brother or sister. He often talks about how excited he would be to share his toys, read stories together, and grow up with a sibling by his side. Family is the center of our lives. Recently, we moved into a home on four acres in the country, and it has become a place where we spend so much time together making memories. Some of our favorite moments happen in the simplest ways?"swimming in the pool, playing sports in the yard, building bonfires in the evenings, and roasting marshmallows and hot dogs together. Friday nights are often spent going out to dinner as a family to relax after the week, and Saturdays usually mean movie night at home. These small traditions mean a lot to us and are the moments that make our home feel warm and full of love. Education is also something we value deeply. We live in one of the top school districts in Tennessee and are committed to giving our children the best opportunities to learn and grow. Our goal is not simply academic success, but raising children who are curious, kind, confident, and encouraged to pursue their dreams. If you choose our family, please know that your child will grow up in a home filled with unconditional love, encouragement, and stability. We will celebrate who they are, nurture their dreams, and stand beside them through every stage of life. Your child will always know how deeply loved they are. We also believe it is very important to honor your place in your child’s story. I you choose, we are committed to sending letters, emails, phone calls, and pictures so you can see how he/she is growing and experiencing life. We believe openness can be a beautiful and meaningful part of adoption, and we want your child to always know the love that surrounds them?"including yours. We hope that as you read this, you can feel how deeply we would cherish the opportunity to raise your child. More than anything, we hope you feel peace and support as you make this decision. If you choose our family, we promise to love your child wholeheartedly and to raise them in a home where they feel safe, valued, and truly cherished. Thank you for allowing us to share our hearts with you.
With respect, gratitude, and hope,
Dan & Jorge
