We live a slow-paced, relaxing life surrounded by family and our dog, Sunny. We both chose careers in healthcare and have unique but flexible schedules that we are grateful for. Griffin is a pharmacist at our local hospital and works every other week. Kaitlyn is a labor and delivery/postpartum nurse at the same hospital, with an "as needed" schedule. We feel incredibly fortunate that our work arrangements will allow at least one of us to be at home with your child every day!

On Kaitlyn's days off, she loves to bake sourdough, visit her grandparents, and be outdoors. When Griffin isn't working, he likes to enjoy his hobby collecting sports cards, helps tidy up the home, or finds a new TV show to watch. On nice evenings, we love going on walks and enjoying the peaceful landscape of the country. We also love to play a game of scrabble with family or watch sporting events on TV. Kaitlyn loves to cook at home and try new recipes, but we also enjoy a meal out to our local Mexican or steakhouse restaurant. Some weekends are spent relaxing or doing projects at home, but other times we like to adventure to the city to go shopping, find an aquarium, or try a new activity. We also look forward to vacations multiple times a year! Our most recent travels were to the San Juan islands to see the Orca whales and Maine in the fall.

Our Sunny girl has been so important in our life! We rescued her 4 years ago not knowing the impact she would have and the love she would bring to our family. Through moving to different homes and experiencing challenging moments with us, she is always a constant and brings a smile to our face every day. She loves to cuddle and enjoys sleeping with her head on a pillow like a human. Her favorite toys are anything shaped like a ball, and she loves being included in any activity we are doing. Her grandparents spoil her with fancy treats and personal dinners in her food bowl. She is gentle with children and babies and will be a built-in friend for life.

From the moment we meet your child, we promise to provide unconditional love, safety, and security every single day. We promise to honor their story and make it known from the very beginning. We will respect you, include you, and speak about you with genuine kindness. Our child's days will be filled with laughter, learning opportunities, being silly, snuggles from Sunny (and us!), visits from grandparents, playing outside, and celebrations that make ordinary days feel special. We promise to give your child countless experiences, both big and small. We promise to take them on vacations and explore the world, and we promise to sign them up for activities in the community. We will celebrate their unique personality and help them grow into their authentic self.

We promise to be the parents that never stop putting your child first. To always listen, to guide them, and support them. Our love for this child will never run out.

The feeling of pure peace is one of our favorite things about living in rural Kansas. With wide open spaces, there is so much room to play outside, count the stars, and hear the birds and crickets chirp. We have a short drive to town which is safe and very child oriented. Some of our favorite things are the light displays during Christmas time and the well-known trick or treating streets during Halloween. Your child will have many parks to play at, a new aquatic center, and a recreation center for seasonal sports and activities.

As a temporary residence, we live in a single-story home on five acres of land that overlooks where our future permanent home will be built. The most beautiful sunsets and sunrises can be seen from our windows. We love sitting on the couch in front of the fireplace watching sports or cooking outside in the outdoor kitchen. However, our favorite room in the home is the nursery which Kaitlyn has already put together. Kaitlyn's brother plans to build nearby and raise his young family alongside ours, with grandma's home overlooking us in the distance.

Family is extremely important to us and we are so blessed to have very close relationships with both sides of our family. We feel fortunate to have family members who will love and support your child unconditionally.

Aside from one of Griffin's siblings, both of our families live within 30 miles of each other. Kaitlyn has one younger brother who is married, and has one child. Getting to be Aunt KK and Uncle Griffin have been some of our favorite moments. Kaitlyn's parents live on our same property which makes for frequent family dinners and game nights together. They were made to be grandparents! Kaitlyn's mom, Jennifer, who will be called "Mimi," and her dad, Chad, can't wait to take their grandchild on golf cart rides in the yard, do arts and crafts, and take them on family vacations.

Board games such as Pictionary are a huge part of Griffin's family get togethers! Any ordinary Friday night can turn into a gathering with lots of snacks and laughs. Griffin has two sisters, a step-brother, and three cousins who were raised like siblings together. Family time is an important aspect of Griffin's life and something he is excited to share with your child.

We've been dreaming of becoming parents since the very beginning of our relationship. After loving each other for 12 years, we are confident in our marriage and the foundation we have built for a family. We promise to give your child every ounce of love we have. Griffin will teach your child about kindness, patience, and perseverance. He will be the dad with the corniest of jokes that offer a slight moment of cringe, but genuine laughter. He will be on his hands and knees playing dolls or dress up, or playing in the dirt with toy cars and trucks. Kaitlyn will be the mom that protects her child at all costs, and teaches them how to be brave, strong, and determined. She will remind them that they can do anything they set their mind to. She will have the days of the week lined up with crafts and activities, and the simplest tasks such as packing a school lunch will be her dream come true. Every holiday, birthday, or small reason to celebrate will be organized with decorations, treats, and gifts.

We promise to give your child every opportunity to succeed in the things that make them authentic to themselves. Through every chapter of their life, they will have an army of a family cheering them on. Their grandmas are praying for them now, every single day. Their grandpas are getting their nursery ready, and their cousin can't wait to have a permanent friend to play with forever. Each and every one of our family members can't wait for all the memories to be made. They will have the greatest support system.

We envision all the magic that we can create for your child. Waking up as early as possible on Christmas morning to open gifts and talk about Santa, or traveling to new places together will be worth it all for the joy on their face. We can't wait for family dinners filled with laughter and stories about our day, and for slow evenings in the country surrounded by sunsets, counting the stars, and eating Ben and Jerry's ice cream. We hope to share our love of sports together, cheering on their favorite team, and promise to humor ourselves by trying a new activity with them in the backyard. From every big and small adventure together, we promise to fill it with love and joy that will create the most cherished memories together.
